Andrea Toft

Andrea Toft is a 29 year old female artist, based in Bergen, Norway, who’s artistic work mainly consists of videoart, photography and illustrations.

 

Her upbringing was filled with artistic and musical influences, and from an early age she showed great passion for everything creative.

 

Being a child of the the 'analog age', she grew up synchronously with technology becoming more and more prominent and incorporated into our everyday life. Through her artistic work she aims to create an interpretation of what occurs in the intersection of the analog and digital world, and to portray the feelings and emotions of what it means to exist as a human being in today's society.

 

Her work consists of different medias, created through an investigative process that involves both analog and digital techniques. Elements are often created through for example drawing, painting, photography and filming, which are normally assembled digitally as collages.
